Bruce Harrell is a Failure, Unfit for Office

I had a guest post at the Stranger today, where I pulled together the many reasons for why Bruce Harrell needs is unfit for office. I will eventually reproduce that here, after it has had a chance to drive traffic over there.

It it wasn’t clear already, I endorse Katie Wilson for Seattle Mayor.

Katie is a super smart, hardworking, grassroots campaign leader who has won higher minimum wages and renter protections all over the region. She also helped us get hundreds of millions in funding for affordable housing, small businesses, co-investment in under-represented neighborhoods, and green infrastructure in Seattle.

She brings the perspective of a renter, grassroots movement leader, mother of a young child, and uber-wonk to the job—and she represents the progressive wing of the Democratic party. She is a head’s down worker, not a flashy attention seeker.

She has my vote and she deserves yours.

If you absolutely cannot bring yourself to vote for a progressive Democrat, change your mind!

But if you haven’t changed your mind, and you see the incompetence, inattention, and hostile-workplace habits of the Harrell administration as a problem, I suggest you take a closer look at Joe Mallahan, who has the management skills, sensible housing and affordable housing policies, and a history of volunteering on behalf of victims of sexual abuse.
